Job Title:?Electrician Job Location:? Sport Ireland Campus,SnugboroughRoad, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15? JOB PURPOSE:??? Perform difficult technical work of the maintenance and repair of a variety of electrical equipment on the National Sports Campus site.? ? Responsibilities? Fault Finding and Replacement Fault finding and replacement of associated components on electrical pumps Diagnose general electrical panels, breakers, or other components Diagnose malfunctioning systems and electrical components using test equipment Identifyelectrical problems with a variety of testing devices Electrical Systems and Components Working on 3-phase motors Light fitting installation, lighting module installation/repairs, and BMS control systems Fault finding/repairs on L.V. switchgear Power factor correction work on L.V. switchgear Emergency light installation and testing Maintain water leak detection systems Maintain and repair all electrical aspects of air handling units Full understanding of the Philips lighting system Full understanding of the workings of BMS systems Have a good understanding of the current Irish standards for emergency lighting Have a good understanding of the current fire detection and alarm systems standards Having a good understanding of the controls of VSDs (variable speed drives) Maintenance and Reporting ?Ensure that all areas of the pool plant rooms are clean and tidy Report any defects on all plant equipment or any associated electrical equipment to theEngineering Supervisor. Carry out electrical installation and repairs on all NSCDA properties as requested Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components toidentifyhazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair Advisemanagement on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures ?Planning Liaise with theEngineering Supervisor. with all business requirements, ensuring that all necessary standards are adhered to Electrical works, emergency lighting, and fire alarm tests Leadership/People Management Direct and train apprentices as per the training module on how to install,maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures The Maintenance Electrician will be assigned with an electrical apprentice and oversee their training as per the training module set out by Solas Lead by example in a professional manner in all duties carried out Standards/Procedures Workin accordance withall the mandatory Irish standards Health & Safety Good working knowledge of the electrical standards to ensure that all safety procedures are followed Ensure that all health and safety measures are taken on any job undertaken Carry out a visual method assessment of the required job before starting Ensure that the apprentice works in a safe environment without putting themselves or others in danger Ensure that work at heights or on ladders is done correctly Technical Responsibilities Advise and coordinate with theEngineering Supervisor. on technical problems concerned with installation, modification, and repair of electrical assignment Electrical Service Delivery Ensure effective electrical service delivery Internal and External Relationships Internal Ensure effective electrical service delivery External Contractors/3rd parties ? Essential Knowledge (Education & Related Experience):? Electrical qualification:Minimumrequirement is 5 years experience in commercial and industrial electrical works.?? Full clean driving license?? Thorough knowledge of the standard practices,toolsand terminology of the electrical trade? Thorough knowledge of electricaltheory;?? Thorough knowledge of the safety hazards of the work and of the necessary safety precautions. Key Skills? Strong interpersonal and communications skills?? Skill in the use of electrical maintenance and repairequipment;?? Ability to make repairs to complicated electrical wiring,fixturesandequipment;?? Problem-solving skills ability toidentify, address and resolve problemsin a timely manner?
