Inventory Controller

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Controller for our client based in Cork. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing our inventory systems, ensuring accurate stock levels, and supporting the overall efficiency of our store operations. This role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and an understanding of the luxury retail industry.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels, perform regular counts, and resolve discrepancies.
2. Stock Optimization: Balance inventory to meet demand and minimize overstock, working closely with the sales team.
3. Logistics Coordination: Oversee goods receipt, transfers, and stock movement documentation.
4. Reporting & Analysis: Generate inventory reports and assist with demand forecasting.
5. Security & Loss Prevention: Implement measures to protect inventory and refine security protocols.
6. System Maintenance: Update inventory software and ensure product information accuracy.

Essential Experience & Skills:

1. Proven experience in inventory control, retail management, or a similar role.
2. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
3. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
6. Knowledge of luxury products and materials is highly desirable.
7. Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and inventory security measures.
