Position: DevOps Engineer

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join a growing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining secure and scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across teams, implement deployment strategies, and streamline the development lifecycle in a cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Define and enforce branching/version control strategies (Git Flow, trunk-based).
- Architect and manage AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement secure IAM roles, policies, and permissions.
- Automate infrastructure deployment with Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Develop automation scripts in Python and Bash.
- Manage artifacts using JFrog Artifactory.
- Integrate and maintain code quality/security tools (SonarQube, Fortify, Prisma Cloud, Qualys).
- Ensure observability practices with CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, or similar tools.
- Work with security/compliance teams to apply DevSecOps principles and support audits.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response/post-mortems.

Requirements

- 5+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer in a cloud-native environment.
- Strong expertise with AWS cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise).
- Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Terragrunt).
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of IAM, security, and compliance best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.

Nice to Have

- AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Security Specialty).
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC2).
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and secrets management.
- Experience implementing policy-as-code and compliance automation tools.
