Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client, a large GP practice located close to Cork city is recruiting an experienced Practice Nurse to join their practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care within a busy GP practice setting.
The GP practice offers an array of services including
- General Practice: Routine consultations, chronic disease management (diabetes, heart disease, asthma).
- Women’s Health: Pregnancy care, contraception, fertility advice, Mirena coil insertion/removal.
- Men’s Health: Health screening, prostate checks, STI screening.
- Children’s Health: Immunisations, health checks, varicella vaccine.
- Minor Surgery: Cryotherapy, joint injections, abscess drainage, Implanon insertion/removal.
- Occupational Health: Pre-employment medicals, drug & alcohol testing, spirometry.
- Vaccinations: Flu, pneumococcal, Covid-19, childhood immunisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practice.
- Conduct health assessments, chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma), and preventative care.
- Administer vaccinations, wound care, and phlebotomy.
- Support patient education and promote health and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMBI registration.
- Previous experience in a GP practice or primary care setting preferred.
- Completed colposcopy & phlebotomy courses
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
