Applications are invited for the following post: Research Assistant B (Mixed Reality Developer) (School of Media) (Fixed-Term for up to 3 years with funding in place for 1 year) (Reference: 465/2025) The Research Assistant will contribute to a multidisciplinary research project focused on leveraging Mixed Reality technologies (e.g., Meta Quest, HoloLens, or similar) to support engineering education and mechanical training. The role includes developing interactive MR environments using Unity and the XR Interaction Toolkit and MRTK, integrating real-world engineering concepts into virtual demonstrations, and conducting user testing to evaluate learning outcomes and usability. Hours of Work:A 37-hour working week is in operation Location: The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e. Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Grangegorman, Blanchardstown or Tallaght. Salary: The Research Assistant B Salary Scale is: € 37,225 gross per annum Appointments will be made at the appropriate point on the appropriate scale.
