Quality Assurance Engineer, Cross Border

The Cross border technology team is looking for talented, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) to join the team who can own the project end-to-end testing process. We engage QAEs at the beginning of the project to understand business requirements and technical implementation and test code at the user level both manually or with automated tools.
AEE (Amazon Exports & Expansion) Tech builds and tests technology that brings Amazon footprint to new countries by offering Best-At-Amazon with undeniable delivery experience, selection, and convenience localized for our customers. We enable Amazon to new international marketplaces and give an opportunity for consumers in new geographies to find, discover, and buy anything online and for local and international sellers to choose Amazon as an indispensable channel for their products. With each country launch, we continually raise the bar on launch day 1 features and drive innovation for customers. We support emerging marketplace business to grow bigger as well. Responsibility includes defining test strategy and test plans and reviewing them with stakeholders. Improving test coverage, reviewing, and filling gaps in existing automation. Representing the customer, understanding how they use the system and including the most relevant end-to-end user scenarios in test plans and automation.

Key job responsibilities

1. You create and execute test plans with high-quality test cases for straightforward scenarios involving one or more product components and features. You clearly document your work.
2. You perform initial defect triage and root cause analysis. You correctly log defects and provide relevant data to partner teams so they can address issues.
3. You are able to analyze test change requests (e.g., addition, removal, or modification to existing features etc.) and provide recommendations on how the change might impact test scope and/or product behavior.
4. You have some experience with the STLC and a basic knowledge in test methodologies. You are skilled in four core software-testing techniques: (1) equivalence class partitioning, (2) boundary value testing, (3) verifying each requirement and (4) state transition.
5. You have basic knowledge in a scripting language. You use this knowledge to debug, troubleshoot, create, and maintain test automation scripts. You create simple tools to reduce manual effort or more accurately audit component or improve feature quality.
6. You are able to train new team members on team procedures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in API & Mobile testing
- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
