DATAHEAD are partnering with a leading global reinsurance group who are looking to hire an ambitious Underwriter to join their European team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a client-facing role with exposure to multiple speciality classes and direct access to senior decision-makers.
Role Working closely with the CUO and senior underwriters, you’ll support the origination, pricing, and onboarding of bespoke (re)insurance deals across property, casualty, cyber, financial lines and beyond. You’ll gain real responsibility in underwriting significant, complex risks while building trusted relationships with brokers and clients in London and international markets.
Key Responsibilities Originate, evaluate, and underwrite submissions across multiple speciality classes.
Liaise with brokers and clients, negotiating terms and managing transactions end-to-end.
Support pricing and structuring of new deals, ensuring accurate and timely onboarding.
Collaborate with senior underwriters on strategy and execution.
Ensure accuracy of underwriting data and compliance with regulations.
About You 2–4 years’ experience in underwriting or assistant underwriting, ideally within speciality or Lloyd’s market lines.
Strong track record in deal management (renewals, quotes, slips, endorsements).
Direct broker/client engagement experience with confidence in external meetings.
Multiclass flexibility – comfortable working across different lines of business.
Background in Lloyd’s / London Market
Cert CII or working towards Diploma (advantageous).
