[Urgent] Porter

Night Porter

Here at Osborne one of our clients is currently looking for a Porter to join them on a temp assignment until the end of this year, Please see below for more information

Working hours:


39 hours per week on a 5/7 roster, Monday – Sunday. You will be required to work the agreed roster/ on-call arrangements as advised to you by your line manager.


Duties:


Provide a reliable, high‑quality portering service across all patient areas, meeting the needs of both hospital management and patients.
Ensure portering duties are completed promptly and in line with hospital requirements.
Operate the main reception desk, overseeing entry and exit for security purposes.
Register all contractors and visitors in the reception logbook and issue the appropriate identification badges.
Assist patients on arrival and carry out general reception tasks, including handling incoming post and parcels and distributing them to the correct departments.
Cover the telephone switchboard when required, ensuring messages are taken, recorded, and passed on professionally.
Move patients between wards and departments as needed, including before and after operations to and from theatre.
Keep outside areas and corridors clean, safe, and tidy.
Help with hospital security by monitoring cameras and making sure all outer doors and windows are locked when required.


Requirements:


Previous experience in a healthcare setting
Good communication skills
Have an understanding of patient transfer throughout the hospital
Flexibility required
