Job Title: Senior Radiographer Department: Radiology Reports to: Head of Radiology Operations Date: 2025 Overall Purpose of Job We will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality, respect, caring and compassion are at the centre of all we do. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables: Excellent knowledge of departmental exam protocols and application to the clinical indications or surgeon requesting the exam. Demonstrate a high level of clinical knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role, including keeping abreast of development technologies and their likely impact. Demonstrate evidence of experience working with multidisciplinary teams at clinic and administrative level. Awareness of JCI requirements and ability to enforce/apply this consistently throughout the year. Strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills for equipment errors to resolve at a local level before escalation to CSR/ Medical Physics. Demonstrate an awareness and appreciation of the service user and a commitment to providing a quality service; evidence of ability to empathise with and treat clients, relatives and colleagues with dignity and respect. Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and the multidisciplinary team. The ability to apply knowledge to best practice. A commitment to assuring high standards and strive for a user centred service. The ability to manage and maintain a flexible approach in a rapidly changing environment and willingness to undertake such additional duties as may be assigned from time to time. Awareness and appreciation of service users and the ability to empathise with and treat others with dignity and respect. Person Specification Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography. Qualification must be recognised and validated by CORU Experience: Cardiac MRI experience essential At least 3 years of experience in Radiography Demonstrate experience of working with a team of radiographers. Job Specific Competencies and Knowledge: Demonstrate ability to manage clinical and non-clinical situations. Have proven ability to work under pressure. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. Have a high capacity for responsibility and individual initiative. Personal Competencies All posts in Beacon Hospital require a high level of flexibility to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service. Therefore, the post holder will be required to demonstrate flexibility as and when required by their manager or hospital management.
