Role Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and motivatedStaff Grade Occupational Therapistto join theChildrens Disability Network Team (CDNT)in Louth. In this role, you will play a key part in assessing, planning, and delivering tailored occupational therapy interventions for children and young people with physical, sensory, and developmental disabilities. You will collaborate with amultidisciplinary teamto provide holistic care that supports each childs independence and enhances their participation in daily life. This role is ideal for Occupational Therapists who are passionate aboutpaediatric careand eager to contribute to a supportive, progressive service that prioritises family-centered approaches and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Care and Intervention: Conduct comprehensiveoccupational therapy assessmentsto evaluate childrens functional abilities in daily activities such as self-care, play, and school participation. Develop and deliverindividualised, goal-oriented intervention plansbased on each childs needs and family goals. Utilise evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support children in developingfine motor skills,gross motor coordination,sensory processing, andadaptive behaviours. Advise on and provideassistive devices,adaptive equipment, andenvironmental adaptationsto enhance the childs independence. Deliver therapy in diverse settings, including clinics, schools, community spaces, and home environments. Requirements: Essential: A recognisedDegree in Occupational Therapyfrom an accredited institution. CORU registrationor eligibility for registration. Demonstrated interest or experience inpaediatric occupational therapy. Solid understanding ofchild development,sensory integration, and paediatric conditions. Strongassessment,clinical reasoning, andproblem-solving skills. Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonal abilitiesto engage effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals. Desirable: Previous experience working withinChildrens Disability Network Teams (CDNT)or similar paediatric services. Experience supporting children with a range of complex needs, including physical, sensory, and developmental disabilities. Knowledge and/or experience withsensory processing,assistive technology, andenvironmental adaptations. A full, cleandrivers licenceand access to a vehicle (may be required for community visits).
