Our client, a large multinational based in Drogheda, requires a Systems Engineer. This is a permanent role within a high paced engineering team and arises due to a large and planned expansion of operations. For more info call Cormac Spencer on Salary: to €85k Benefits: Pension, Flexible Working, Bonus, Gym, Canteen, Annual Salary Reviews, Health Insurance and more Total Package: to €100k Key Responsibilities The role involves providing professional engineering services, including but not limited to: Acting as the Network Owner responsible for: Siemens PCS7 central control system All servers, control system software, and communication networks Designing and programming software for: Engineering projects Plant modifications Performing: Software modifications Fault finding PID loop setup and tuning Technical support to engineers on control systems Commissioning activities: Signal checking Ensuring functionality for new projects and modifications Maintaining: Operator stations Plant visualisation software (e.g. WinCC) Coordinating: Uploading and implementation of new software or upgrades Work with expert engineers from control system suppliers Candidate Requirements Ideal candidates will have: Education & Experience: Degree or equivalent qualification in a technical engineering-related discipline Minimum of 5 years hands-on industry experience in a similar role Technical Skills: Strong experience with: Siemens PCS7 Step 7, Simatic Manager, and WinCC Familiarity with Windows operating systems, including: Security Network configuration Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as: CFC (Continuous Function Chart) FBD (Function Block Diagram) STL (Statement List) Exposure to: SQL A high-level programming language (e.g., Python, C#) Other Requirements: System archiving/restoration OT cyber security tools and best practices Strong: Communication skills Relationship-building abilities Note: Full training will be provided to expand and deepen the successful candidates existing knowledge.
