Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client’s business. Key deliverables will be month end close, salaries & wages, VAT returns etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End & Year-End Closures : Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Tax Compliance : Ensure compliance with VAT, corporation tax, and other statutory tax obligations. Assist in the preparation of tax returns.
Salaries & wages : Prepare and process company payroll timely and with accuracy.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to Irish regulatory requirements, including Companies Act and Revenue Commissioners' guidelines.
Qualifications:
Qualified by experience, or
Part qualified, studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or
A recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a financial accounting role, preferably in a SME environment.
Experience in month end tasks, statutory financial reporting.
Proficiency in financial systems.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of Irish accounting and tax regulations.
Advanced Excel skills, e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, data analysis.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
