Due to growth within our sales team and exciting plans in the months ahead, The River Lee is looking for a Groups Sales Manager adept at driving revenue growth. You will be instrumental in achieving sales targets and expanding our business. As the Groups Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving group, conference, and event business to the hotel from local, national, and international markets. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a collaborative and dynamic commercial team, focussing on developing strategic relationships with corporate clients, DMCs, PCOs, and agencies. Key Responsibilities Proactively identify and secure new MICE business opportunities for the hotel. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, agencies, and associations. Collaborate with revenue, marketing, and operational teams to ensure seamless event delivery. Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, site inspections, and familiarization trips. Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline reporting via CRM systems. Meet or exceed individual and team revenue targets in the MICE segment. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and market demand to adjust strategies accordingly. About You Essential qualifications and experience: Minimum 3 years experience in hospitality sales or events within a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment. Demonstrable track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets. Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of the Irish corporate, association, and agency markets. Experience working with CRM systems and hotel PMS (e.g. Opera). Ability to travel for sales missions or international exhibitions. Full driving license and access to a vehicle. Preferred: Experience working within an international hotel chain or global brand environment. Familiarity with SITE, or MPI networks. Third-level qualification in hospitality, business, or sales/marketing.
