# Application Portfolio ManagerApplication Portfolio ManagerSalary€NegotiableLocationDublin, IrelandContractPermanentIndustryTransformation & Change Management---ContactTim Cooketim.cooke@oliverjames.com# About the role**What you need to know:*** The Application Portfolio Manager will have end-to-end accountability for the technical solutions and their integrated systems, for multiple business applications in General Insurance EMEA and/or UK business units.* They will maintain the end-to-end technology roadmaps for their applications constantly looking at ways to optimize in terms of operations and cost of ownership.* They will work with technology teams and sourcing/procurement to ensure software for their applications is fully licensed and supported by software vendors.* They will work with application support and development teams and third party vendors to deliver related IT solutions whilst controlling costs and ensuring compliance to policies and standards.* They will provide technical and business context and direction to the vendor teams, ensuring that all technologies work effectively together, and that IT actions are in line with business needs.* They will work with the support teams to ensure the business needs in relation to their applications are met in terms of ticket servicing, application availability and stability.* They will use SAFe Agile methodology to manage the key application maintenance and small project deliverables from the application management vendor.* They will work with the Cyber security function to maintain the required level of security on all aspects of their applications.* Senior Stakeholder Communications and Governance including Metrics Based Reporting is key to the role**What we’re looking for:*** Demonstrated experience (10+ years) in the following key areas* Managing vendor teams across multiple locations and timezones* Operating with a broad and varied scope in terms of owning the maintenance of multiple business-critical applications* Managing all aspects of the maintenance lifecycle of live applications* Owning key relationships with senior business and IT management* Analytical and problem solving skills are key to the role* ITIL / ITSM knowledge required, covering incident, request, problem management processes* Enjoys picking up new technical knowledge, adopting and championing process and organizational changes, constantly seeking to expand technical, functional and business knowledge.* Needs to have worked in a technical role either currently or in the past* Experience in a regulated financial services organization is desirable* Clear, concise written and oral communication skills are very important for this role* Ability to drive agreement using information and interpersonal acumen* Proven ability in adapting to changing priorities based on business needs
