Permanent Whole Time Post University College Cork wishes to appoint an academic to the role of Lecturer (Above the Bar) in Business Information Systems . Double accredited by AMBA and AACSB, a PRME Champion and holding an Athena Swan Award, Cork University Business School is one of Ireland's largest business schools. The Lecturer (Above the Bar) in Business Information Systems will have a PhD in relevant discipline and demonstrate a track record of relevant research and teaching experience. Candidates will have successfully published in journals of international standing and demonstrate clear potential to do so (publications in the 3 and 4 star ranked journals by the Chartered Association of Business Schools are preferred). Additionally, candidates should be able to demonstrate that they have developed an interest in the area of Gen AI and its implications for business, across a range of industries and activities. Candidates must also demonstrate their experience and/or potential in delivering high quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Candidates with teaching and research experience in any area of Information Systems are encouraged to apply. Candidates should set out how their research may contribute to UCC Futures Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics and/or the school's proposed new strategic research centre on the Future of Work and Economies. Appointment may be made on the Lecturer (Above the Bar) Salary Scale: €79,185 - €102,549 (Scale B) / €75,338 - €97,420 (Scale A). Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
