Assistant Accountant-Cavan County About the Role Exciting opportunity for a brilliant Accounts Assistant professional with a leading name in the FMCG industry located in Cavan Co. This role offers a mixture of hands-on financial responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the Accounts Assistant process. The role offers a mix of hands-on financial responsibilities posting weekly accounts journals, measuring and analysing production KPIs, running ERP general queries, raising purchase orders, and completing weekly accruals reconciliations. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take ownership of key responsibilities while contributing to a collaborative, high-preforming team. Why Apply? 23 days Annual Leave Company Bonus Pension Study Support On-site Parking Working in a fast-paced Accounts Assistant environment SALARY: €40,000-€50,000 Key Responsibilities: Measure and analyse production KPIs Attend and contribute to daily production meetings Run ERP general queries and tasks Provide production system support and review Perform standard costing and investigate product variances Conduct margin analysis and implement margin controls Analyse material usage variances Update financial reporting system data Post weekly accounts journals Complete weekly accruals reconciliation Perform monthly accounts reconciliations Raise purchase orders (POs) Maintain stock control and perform stock reconciliations Provide additional analysis, reporting, and process improvement support as required Skills and Qualifications required: 2-6 years of relevant accounting experience. PQ Accountant / Newly qualified accountant an advantage Strong excel and ERP skills Relevant experience in a broad accounting role Experience working in a busy fast paced environment Strong ability to work as part of a team and independently Excellent communication skills with ability to build rapport
