My client is a leading mechanical contractor operating across Ireland. Due to continued growth, we look to hire an experienced Contracts Manager to join the company permanently. The person hired in that position will provide the leadership and direction on all projects managed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for driving operations and budget through successful leadership, organisation plans, customer service, and outstanding execution of all strategies, consistently across all locations.
2. Responsible for the management of 3-5 projects concurrently at any one time.
3. Responsible for contracts and ongoing relationships with suppliers.
4. Responsible for ensuring that all Pre-start meetings are arranged and carried out.
5. Co-ordinate and supervise all the activities of all specialist and subcontracted trades and disciplines involved on site.
6. Ensure all operations are performed effectively and efficiently in accordance with the company’s construction program.
7. Ensure all work is carried out in a safe, proper and thorough manner taking into account H&S legislation, company policies and procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
8. Maintain good working relationships with all MGME teams.
9. Familiarise yourself with Procore and the facets within it.
10. Monitor all RFI’s, damage, theft and out of scope work through Procore.
11. Implement and maintain the QA systems put in place by the Quality Management team.
12. Present detailed written reports on overall project progression to clients and contractors when required.
13. Provide leadership and direction, including conducting annual performance reviews and quarterly 1:1 reviews through the company systems.
14. Represent the company at meetings, promote the correct company image and ensure staff are aware of their responsibilities.
15. Ensure that all work methods are sufficient to meet the project needs.
16. Ensure that the master programme and schedule of deliverables for the project development meet the requirements of the brief and the client’s expectations.
17. Develop clear, detailed and practical measures of performance to meet project objectives.
18. Regularly inspect works for compliance with design and report on progress, ensuring remedial action is taken within agreed timelines.
19. Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff and visitors.
20. Ensure that all company standards and policies are followed and maintained.

Person Specification:

1. Experience working as a Contracts Manager in the M&E industry.
2. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
5. Computer literacy, including good working knowledge in Microsoft Office and relevant construction-based software.
6. A clean UK/ROI driver license and comfortable traveling to sites in the Greater Dublin area.
