An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager to join a leading European organisation based in Dublin. This is a newly created role within a newly created team and presents the opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping and embedding risk management practices across a diverse and rapidly growing organisation.

Responsibilities

Support management teams in identifying, assessing, and managing key risks that could affect reputation, strategic goals, operational performance, or financial wellbeing.

Design and oversee the implementation of a responsive risk management framework tailored to emerging risks within the business.

Develop and roll out best‑in‑class policies, procedures, and ways of working to ensure effective risk management across all departments.

Promote a strong culture of risk awareness by facilitating understanding and ownership of risk at every level of the organisation.

Assist colleagues in integrating risk thinking into their decision‑making processes through guidance and support.

Ensure consistency in risk management approaches across the entire business by coordinating efforts between different teams and functions.

Create engaging training workshops and communications aimed at building risk literacy and fostering active participation in risk initiatives.

Establish efficient monitoring and reporting systems that provide valuable insights to Management, Leadership, and the Board.

Support the maintenance of fit‑for‑purpose business continuity plans as well as crisis management strategies to safeguard operations.

Collaborate with other assurance functions to develop an integrated model that enhances organisational resilience.

What You Will Bring

Proven experience working as an Enterprise Risk Manager or in a similar capacity within a commercial environment where you have demonstrated your ability to manage complex risks.

Expertise in applying established risk management practices along with developing new approaches tailored to evolving business needs.

Strong analytical skills combined with a solution‑oriented mindset that enables you to address challenges effectively while considering broader organisational impacts.

Demonstrable negotiating and influencing abilities that help foster consensus among stakeholders with varying levels of experience in risk management.

A commercial perspective that allows you to balance strategic priorities with practical considerations when implementing risk initiatives.

Excellent communication skills supported by stakeholder engagement experience which ensures clarity when presenting information or facilitating discussions.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also supporting others in understanding their individual risk profiles.

Relevant qualifications in business, finance, or risk management (or equivalent) that underpin your technical expertise in this field.

Experience working within rapidly expanding commercial environments where adaptability is essential for success (desirable).

Background in developing risk management practices from inception through maturity stages; relevant industry experience would be advantageous but not essential.
