About the Role: The Specialist in Digital and Data Training will lead on and contribute to the delivery, development, administration, promotion and evaluation of the Institutes Digital and Data programmes to clients of the IPA. This role provides training and consultancy services to clients such as Government Departments, civil and public servants or other public bodies. The role-holder will work as part of an integrated and collaborative team within the Professional Development department in the IPA. The Digital and Innovation Unit is part of the wider Professional Development team delivering excellence in learning to the civil and public service. The unit seeks to empower public and civil servants with the knowledge, skills and mindsets to respond effectively to emerging needs and future challenges. Specifically, the unit is responsible for the development and delivery of courses in data, AI, digital skills, ICT, project management, innovation, design and change management. Key Responsibilities: Developing and delivering professional development courses in digital and data. Managing wider portfolio of related courses and coordination of lecturers and training partners. Thought leadership in the areas of digital and data. Quality assurance of programmes. Managing client relationships and developing new opportunities. Responding to client requests, identifying training needs and proposing solutions Collaborating with other members of the team and across units and departments to deliver programmes. Promoting and marketing the services of the unit and of the Institute. Actively engaging in continuing professional development for your own skills. Work collaboratively with other Professional Development colleagues and with specialist colleagues across the Institute on the design and delivery of programmes and services. Identify and develop appropriate training and development courses and consultancy projects to meet such identified needs. Participate in team meetings, development of the programmes and work as a team to achieve successful outcomes for our clients, learners and colleagues. Convene and deliver training and development programmes, seminars, conferences (including both face-to-face and on-line delivery) and events as well as providing advisory and related services. Undertaking other such duties as may be assigned from time to time Essential Criteria: A third-level qualification in data analytics, data management, information systems, business computing, or other relevant disciplines(Essential) Experience in designing and delivering lecturing/training in a related field(Essential) A minimum of 4 years professional experience working in digital and data. This may include some but not all the following: data protection, data analysis, data visualisation, data governance, AI, digital platforms, digital transformation and digital skills(Essential) Desirable Criteria: A post-graduate qualification in a relevant area Qualification in training and development or a related area How to Apply: Conscia will be managing all aspects of the recruitment process on behalf of the IPA.
