Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the Telecommunications sector, with a focus on VOIP services. In this role, you will support the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet client specifications. Your leadership will be key to coordinating tasks, maintaining communication, and ensuring smooth project delivery for VOIP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of project coordinators, ensuring that tasks are effectively assigned, timelines are met, and team members are supported throughout the project lifecycle.
- Multi-Site Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process for customers with multiple sites, ensuring smooth deployment of VOIP services across all locations. This includes scheduling, resource allocation, and communication between internal teams and the customer.
- Customer Interaction: Act as a point of contact for enterprise customers during onboarding. Ensure customer requirements are understood and met and manage expectations throughout the process.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress, potential delays, or any issues that arise.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and progress reports. Provide regular updates to the Service Delivery Manager and other stakeholders.
- Project Coordination: Oversee the logistics of VOIP service deployment, including hardware installation, software integration, and system configuration across multiple locations.
- Task Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, sales, and operations, to ensure smooth project delivery and meet client requirements.
- Project Monitoring: Track project progress and milestones, ensuring that all tasks are completed according to the established schedule and within the defined scope. Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and project delivery standards.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and escalate project challenges or potential risks, working with senior management to mitigate issues effectively.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely updates, resolving issues, and addressing concerns promptly during the onboarding phase.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Business, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in project management or within the telecommunications industry, preferably with exposure to VOIP systems.
- Leadership Skills: Experience leading or managing teams, with the ability to motivate, delegate, and maintain team focus across multiple tasks.
- Technical Understanding: Familiarity with VOIP technology, telecommunications infrastructure, and service delivery requirements.
- Project Management Tools: Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira, Trello) is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and keep track of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Initiative-taking in identifying issues and suggesting solutions to keep projects on track.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Certifications: Associate Project Management (APM) certification is a plus.
- Telecommunications Knowledge: Knowledge of VOIP protocols (SIP, RTP, etc.), network infrastructure, and VOIP platform integration is highly desirable.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse project data and provide insights to enhance decision-making processes.
- Location: Hybrid, with flexibility for remote work.
