Senior Software Development Leader for Localization Platform

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Leader to drive the vision, strategy, product roadmap and technical deliverables of our Localization Platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing a multi-functional software development organization, including development managers, software engineers, project & product managers, and NLP Machine Learning specialists.

  • Lead a team of engineers into a highly performing development team
  • Define and drive the long-term product strategy
  • Architect and deliver a next-generation localization platform to solve Amazon's unique localization challenges

This role requires a deep understanding of software development, people management, and business acumen. The successful candidate will have a proven analytical, strategic, technical and program management success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of software development experience
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience including managing managers
  • Proficiency in at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as Java, C++ or C#
  • Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithm design and complexity analysis
  • Experience with large scale systems and service-oriented architecture
  • Strong leadership, project planning and execution skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
