Job Title: Youth Care Specialist - Residential Support
Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Specialist to join our team in providing residential support for young people aged 12-17. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the development of these young individuals.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for developing and implementing assessment and behaviour management plans for children and young people. This will involve working closely with them to identify their strengths and challenges, and providing guidance and support to help them navigate their journey to independence and adulthood.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Teach young people who are not engaged in school outside the house, in both 1:1 and group settings.
- Support young people who are engaged in school to complete their homework.
- Participate in planned and responsive residential care.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require a Level 7 or 8 qualification in Social Care or an equivalent qualification. You must also hold a full driving licence and have knowledge of effective team working principles. Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work 15 and 24-hour shifts.
