About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team in Tipperary, providing clinical leadership and support to children and young people in our residential care setting.
Job Summary:
This is a part-time or full-time opportunity for a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team, working closely with colleagues to provide high-quality care and support to children and adolescents.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide Clinical Leadership: Work with our team to develop and implement clinical policies and procedures that promote best practice in residential care.
- Conduct Assessments and Interventions: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of each child or adolescent, and provide interventions to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
- Develop Therapeutic Plans: Work with our team to develop and implement personalized plans that promote the emotional and psychological well-being of our service users.
- Liaise with Families and Stakeholders: Collaborate with families, carers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless care and support for our service users.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate Qualification: A postgraduate qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology is essential for this role.
- Experience Working with Children: You should have experience working with children or young people, ideally in a similar setting.
- Clinical Leadership: As a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, you will be expected to demonstrate strong clinical leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Professional Registration: You must be registered with the relevant professional body and meet all requirements for practice in Ireland.
