Job Summary
The Role of Supply Chain CoordinatorWe are currently recruiting for a skilled professional to manage the supply chain operations for our client.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and implement processes for effective communication with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) regarding production schedules and customer demands.
- Support timely delivery of Purchase Orders from CMOs by interacting with Market Supply Planning, Customer Liaison, and BMS Virtual Plant Team (VPT).
- Maintain open lines of communication as External Manufacturing (ExM) contact for internal and external customers on product inquiries, shipments, and scheduling activities.
- Manage purchase orders according to contractual requirements and project timelines.
- Analyze and update open order reports, tracking exceptions and resolving issues with the Supply Chain Manager.
- Synchronize orders from MSP and other customers to ensure campaign timing and consumption of tolled material.
- Develop standard processes for efficient information exchange between CMOs and customers.
- Ensure that CMOs provide open order confirmations through agreed-upon processes.
- Provide support for CMO and customer requests/queries related to supply, demand, logistics, artwork change implementation, and shipping on test requests.
- Keep CMO supply chain teams informed about regulatory approval status for on-time production.
- Act as the primary point-of-contact between BMS Planning and CMOs for resolving supply issues impacting Customer Service.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing Technology, Supplier Relationship Manager, and Procurement to mitigate supply risks affecting Customer Service levels.
- Work closely with CMOs and MSP/Customer teams to manage shortages, allocations, and stock-outs in the market.
- Assess the impact of supply disruption, quality events, etc., on market supply and inform VPT and customers accordingly.
- Support investigations and MAFF meetings by gathering relevant information. Act as delegate for the Supply Chain Manager at MAFF meetings as required.
- Coordinate product reworks/redress at CMO sites as needed.
- Contribute to performance metric analysis and comments (RTP, Backorders, Anticipated Backorders).
- Implement priority planning through review of Backorder/Anticipated Backorder (BO/ABO) information and customer inventory levels.
- Provide monthly forecasts to CMOs to account for delivery requirements in long-range planning horizons.
- Support and lead projects as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is mandatory; advanced degree or certifications are preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, external manufacturing, or production planning, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries.
- Strong understanding of CMO operations and external supply chain management.
- Demonstrated expertise in order management, demand planning, and production scheduling.
- Familiarity with GMP, regulatory approval processes, and compliance requirements in manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain planning tools.
