Electrical Engineer Role Overview

This Electrical Engineer position plays a pivotal role in our Design Department, where you will assist in planning, designing, and directing electrical engineering projects that drive business growth.

  • Prepare detailed calculations, quantity estimates, and probable construction cost analyses for medium voltage power distribution, low voltage systems, fire alarm systems, backup power generation, and life safety systems.
  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare comprehensive engineering and design documents that meet industry standards.
  • Modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects to ensure optimal results.
  • Make complex calculations using engineering formulas and skills for design, such as lighting calculations, power distribution calculations, equipment sizing, etc.
  • Create specialized drawings such as electrical riser diagrams that provide valuable insights into project development.
  • Select equipment based on recommendations of the Project Designer/Engineer and compile equipment schedules for efficient project execution.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 5+ years of previous engineering/design experience in the building design industry with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year College or University with a strong academic background.
  • Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting (AutoCAD/Revit) with hands-on experience.
  • General knowledge of Electrical system design and applicable codes with the ability to apply them effectively.
