Job Title: Process Optimization Specialist

The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing efficient production methods to meet quality standards.

  • Monitors the assembly/molding process; troubleshoots problem processes, and assists in resolving quality issues.
  • Provides technical expertise on various projects/production jobs and processes as required.
Key Responsibilities And End Results
  • Implements the startup of new/existing projects/production jobs, optimizing cost, efficiency, and quality.
  • Establishes and ensures process control, maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • Monitors the assembly/molding process running in production; troubleshoots problems associated with processes and assists in resolving quality issues.
  • Develops processes for new product lines, documents product development and changes, evaluates new product performance, and monitors new tool design.
  • Debugs moderately complex problems within a portion of new systems, tooling, and automation.
  • Designs experiments to enhance processes, improve yields, and utilization through reduced cycle time and efficient set-up.
  • Ensures maintenance changes in process improvements, proposes or specifies repair alteration of automation while ensuring adequate documentation is maintained.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment, supporting all safety programs and initiatives.
  • May provide direction to assembly and material handling employees as necessary.
  • Supports all safety and quality programs and initiatives.
  • Utilizes relevant technical principles and standard strategies, such as Lean and Six Sigma, to discover and implement process improvements for existing manufacturing processes.
  • Leads and participates in investigations, plans, and tasks to resolve process issues, including nonconformances (NC), complaint investigations, audit observations, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Leads and participates in projects, which include designing and implementing a plan and timetable, as well as achieving the project's goals and objectives.
  • Supports manufacturing sectors in terms of quality standards, compatible documentation, capacity, product availability, and cost.
  • Assists in the purchase of new equipment, including user need requirements, machine selection, installation, validation, employee training, and other related equipment activities as needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
