Job Title: Senior Engineering Manager

This senior-level position involves the application of advanced engineering principles to drive real-time problem-solving, leveraging practical experience and formal knowledge.

You will play a crucial role in guiding and developing team members, providing hands-on training, coaching for performance, and ensuring high-quality work standards. Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in day-to-day leadership of the business unit and positively contribute to the Engineering team, driving engagement activities
  • People and Performance Management:
    • Coach and mentor the engineering group
    • Resource Management
    • Lead continuous improvement activities
    • Drive RFT & Manufacturing Loss improvements within the value stream
  • Quality Issues: Identify, develop, and implement processes to improve department performance
  • Provide manufacturing support by defining work assignments directed at addressing manufacturing process defects and implementing process improvements utilizing Quality System tools
  • Develop and/or identify new work processes and improved utilization of human and material resources within operations
  • Engage and participate in supporting the delivery of Business Unit's KPIs
  • Oversee the development of operational standards for plant capacity evaluations, budget planning, and operational measures (Key performance indicator)
  • Continuously improve business performance by providing technical solutions to operations issues
  • Provide leadership and direction to the business unit on technology development and application within the manufacturing process

Requirements:

  • Level 8 degree in an Engineering or Science discipline
  • 4 years relevant experience in a team-based regulated manufacturing environment and ideally previous supervisory experience
  • Good knowledge of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements and current Health and Safety Regulations legislation
  • Proven experience practicing Lean tools
  • Business understanding of operations and their impacts essential
  • High level of PC skills
  • Strong communication skills with both Internal and external agents
  • Ability to facilitate a team of engineers to deliver a specific objective
  • Above-average emotional intelligence
  • Flexibility with strong project management skills
