We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Graduate Engineering Geologist. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to clients and collaborating with project teams to achieve project goals.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of engineering geology and geotechnical concepts, with knowledge of geotechnical software preferred. Familiarity with field techniques such as rock mapping, stereonets, slope stability, kinematic analysis, and basic risk assessment is also necessary.
In this role, you will work closely with colleagues and agencies to ensure effective communication and build strong relationships with clients. You will also have opportunities to take on more responsibilities, including working towards chartered status and contributing to the tendering process.
Key RequirementsKey Requirements
- Educational Background: Minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree or Master's in Applied or Engineering Geology.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of engineering geology and geotechnical concepts, with knowledge of geotechnical software preferred.
- Field Skills: Familiarity with field techniques like rock mapping, stereonets, slope stability, kinematic analysis, and basic risk assessment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and agencies.
- Professional Standards: Knowledge of Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Health and Safety Regulations.
- Professional Growth: Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- Additional: Full clean driving license preferred.
