Chief Risk Officer

Our organization is seeking an accomplished professional to assume the role of Chief Risk Officer.

This position is subject to PCF14 regulation under the Central Bank of Ireland's regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive risk management processes and strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Leading the identification, evaluation, mitigation, and reporting on financial, operational, and strategic risks.
  • Overseeing the Solvency and Financial Condition Report, Regular Supervisory Report, and Pillar III capital-related reporting.
  • Fostering a risk-aware culture throughout the organization through training and development initiatives.
  • Collaborating with other senior leaders to integrate risk management with overall corporate strategy.
  • Presenting risk reports and progress updates to senior management and the board of directors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold or have held a PCF-14 designation.
  • Extensive experience in risk management within the insurance sector.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive risk policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to anticipate and mitigate potential risks.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven stakeholder management to meet the diverse needs of stakeholders while collaborating to resolve complex issues.
