About the Role

Panda Waste Services is a forward-thinking waste and recycling solutions provider, with a customer-centric approach. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth through new sales and partnerships.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, direct sales, and appointment setting
  • Sell unique waste management services to businesses, highlighting their features and benefits
  • Upsell additional services to existing customers, such as shredding, hazardous waste, and national collections
  • Complete client site risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Handle inbound enquiries and pre-qualify opportunities to ensure they meet 'business fit' and pass credit checks
  • Monitor market and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry
  • Maintain accurate prospect information and update the CRM daily, ensuring seamless collaboration with the sales support team
  • Submit weekly KPI reports and attend fortnightly/monthly sales meetings to drive results
  • Cross-sell Panda's comprehensive range of services to key decision-makers at target organisations
About You

You are a tenacious and passionate individual who enjoys a challenge and is driven to succeed. With excellent communication and negotiation skills, you can articulate complex ideas simply and persuasively. A strong understanding of business-to-business selling principles and waste management legislation is essential for this role.

Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE level in English and Maths
  • 12 months continuous employment in a sales role, with experience in service contract sales and telemarketing
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
