Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automobile Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant certification, be familiar with Ford and SEAT brands, competent in the use of diagnostic equipment, able to complete work in a timely manner with strong attention to detail, and possess good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach
  • Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as required
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology introduced on vehicle ranges and how to diagnose and repair faults on them
  • Carry out diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the appropriate specification
  • Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others
  • Liaise with colleagues and supervisors in situations that are outside of work specified
  • Check the level and quality of work through the use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out
  • Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDIs, service reports) in line with HSO, warranty, and Brand/Dealer requirements

Requirements:

  • Relevant certification
  • Familiarity with Ford and SEAT brands
  • Competence in the use of diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner with strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer literacy, familiarity with Kerridge/CDK is preferred
  • A full driving license with zero penalty points
