Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Roads team. The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering road schemes and active travel projects, with a strong understanding of design standards and project management procedures.

The successful candidate will lead and grow a team responsible for designing and managing major national road schemes, public transport initiatives, and active travel projects. This will involve coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs, developing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Lead and manage a team of Engineers on large-scale road schemes and active travel projects
  • Develop and deliver project solutions, including design drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities
  • Manage client expectations and develop strong working relationships
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and in-house quality assurance standards
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution
  • Experience of project management and technical delivery on road or public transport schemes
  • Knowledge of alignment and drainage design software packages (e.g. Civil3D/Open Roads and WinDes)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
