Job Opportunity

The Electronics Technician role at our organization involves providing technical support for the development of automated calf feeder systems. This entails expertise in electrical and electronic systems, combined with mechanical problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose electronic control systems in automated calf feeders.
  • Assemble and test prototype electronic and mechanical components, including sensors, control units, and pumps.
  • Test and document software, electronics, and mechanical components.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Assist in product development and testing, providing feedback on performance and durability in farm environments.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety and industry standards.
  • Participate in field trials of new Agri-tech products.
  • Set up and run tests on electromechanical components, documenting the results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma, certification, or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years in electronic troubleshooting, repair, or maintenance, preferably in agricultural, automotive, or industrial automation settings.
  • Good understanding of electronic circuits and diagnostic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
  • Experience with pumps, heating elements, sensors, and actuators.
  • Familiarity with DC and AC power systems, relays, and motor controls.
  • BASIC mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Background in mechanics, domestic appliances, or industrial machines is advantageous.
  • Understanding of wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency with standard PC software such as Word, Excel, and Office 365.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing faults efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineers and farmers.
  • Good communication skills for explaining technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
  • Experience with livestock automation or dairy farm technology is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming.
  • Background in fluid systems, pumps, and feed dispensing equipment.
  • Hands-on skills such as welding or fabrication for mechanical modifications.
  • Full driving license is an advantage.
  • Background in car mechanics or similar fields is beneficial.
