  • Support research and development activities in photonic systems, optical transmission, and free space optical communications.
  • Design and develop photonic and free space optical systems and sub-systems for high-speed communication applications.
  • Develop simulation models for satellite and terrestrial optical transmission system design and analysis.
  • Characterize and test optical and photonic components in the space environment.
  • Communicate testing plans and results internally and externally to partners.
  • Support assembly, integration, and testing of optical communications products.
  • Propose innovative solutions to meet photonics product or market requirements.
  • Procure and qualify photonic and electrical systems and components.
