Job Title: Critical Care Leader

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Critical Care Leader to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. As a Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the ICU and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in critical care and possess excellent leadership and communication skills. You will work closely with senior nurse leaders to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote quality and safety in the ICU.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Filling in as the stand-in for the CNM2/Clinical Coordinator in their absence
  • Actively reporting incidents and promoting quality management incident reporting
  • Recognizing potential electrical, chemical, and transportation threats in the department and taking preventative action
  • Ensuring the safe maintenance of equipment and reporting issues to the clinical coordinator or her designee
  • Participating in the process of Joint Commissioning Accreditation (JCI)
  • Assisting in preparing the hospital for the JCI survey

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in nursing; postgraduate credentials in critical care are preferred
  • Five or more years of cardiothoracic or surgical ICU experience, with evidence of a beneficial impact on critical care
  • Experience as a preceptor for students enrolled in adult critical care courses
  • Essential certifications: ACLS
