Software Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our squad, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and security of our applications.

About the Role

This is a contract position requiring a strong background in software quality assurance, with experience in test automation and manual testing. You will be responsible for reviewing test strategies, developing and maintaining automated suites/frameworks of tests, and conducting manual testing. Additionally, you will train squads on test management and contribute to the development of an automation framework related to application security.

Responsibilities

  • Review test strategies with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites/frameworks to assess product quality and release readiness
  • Conduct manual testing to identify defects and areas for improvement
  • Train squads on test management best practices
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and maintain an automation framework for application security

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in software quality assurance, with experience in test automation and manual testing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple teams
  • Ability to drive quality initiatives and influence the squad to focus on quality
  • Firsthand experience with crafting and maintaining testing frameworks with tools like PyUnit, Junit, Karate, Cypress, etc.
  • Good understanding of web services testing and data analysis
  • Passion for continual learning and willingness to guide, support, and mentor others
