Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team responsible for ensuring accurate production of Middle Office Collateral deliverables.
  • Monitor client collateral margin requirements and review static data including OTC, Cleared, ETD and UMR Documentation.
  • Oversee the UMR service offering.
  • Manage in-house collateral reconciliation processes and utilize third-party tools like Tri Optima.
  • Participate in development efforts to improve the product offering.
  • Lead technology-related projects related to the collateral process.
  • Utilize strong SWIFT experience with security transfer knowledge of MT527, 540 and 542.
  • Regularly review existing processes and implement operational efficiencies.
  • Experience with collateral vendor relationships is an advantage.
  • Establish direct report goals, prepare performance evaluations, and succession plans.
  • Develop strong relationships with multiple departments across the firm to drive results and deliverables.
  • Resolve open issues with clients in a professional manner.
  • Lead the roll out of new operational processes.
  • Ensure strong succession plans within the team.
  • Act as the point of contact for your location and function, collaborating with leaders to achieve collective goals.
  • Support client conversions/launches.
  • Participate in operational due diligence reviews and client visits.
  • Participate in client pitches and demos as needed.
  • Provide internal and external system training where required.
  • Adhere to Global Best Practice Policy and provide ongoing leadership in all matters related to operational risk.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Min 5-6 years in Financial Services with a strong background in collateral management.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory/manager role.
  • Acadia – onboarding and daily usage experience.
  • Tri-optima suite of applications – TriResolve, TriMargin, TriSettlements - onboarding and daily usage experience.
  • Business lead on projects, particularly those related to regulatory changes such as UMR and collateral-related technology projects.
  • Knowledge of collateral agreements: ISDA, Cleared, ETD, MRAs/GMRAs (Global Repo Margin agreements) and UMR.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other quantitative subjects desirable.
  • Knowledge of Hedge and Mutual Funds.
