Job Title

Mammography Clinical Specialist


Role Overview

This role is responsible for establishing and implementing protocols in the Mammography department, ensuring compliance with radiation safety standards. The individual will also be involved in training and inducing staff into the Mammography area, while working as part of a multidisciplinary team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement departmental protocols to ensure adherence to established standards and regulations.
  • Induct and train staff in the Mammography area, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including Radiologists, Healthcare Assistants, consultants, and nurses.
  • Rotate through other areas within the Diagnostic Imaging Department to maintain professional competence.

Requirements

  • CORU Registration.
  • Ability to lead and guide a team effectively.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Mammography, preferably in a large hospital setting.
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing requirements.
  • Commitment to quality and safety, prioritizing patient care at all times.
  • Technically competent, with high clinical and technical skill levels.
