Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled senior social worker to join our multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide specialist mental health support to older adults, conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments and developing individualised care plans.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of clients' needs.
  • Develop tailored care plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to support older adults, promoting optimal mental health outcomes.
  • Advocate for patients, ensuring they receive appropriate supports and resources.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to case discussions and service planning.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff as required.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with professional standards.
Requirements
  • CORU registration as a Professionally Qualified Social Worker (PQSW).
  • A minimum of three years post-qualification experience, meeting Senior Social Worker criteria.
  • Experience working in mental health, older adults, or a similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding policies, and social work interventions.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
