Homecare Nurse Job Description

This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to children in their own homes, working independently and using your initiative.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering medications as prescribed by medical professionals
  • Providing skin care, play activities and mobilisation support to ensure the child's comfort and well-being
  • Monitoring and maintaining peg feeds

In addition to these duties, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of the child's condition and progress, and communicating with relevant healthcare professionals as required.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual who is able to work effectively in this challenging yet rewarding environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Current ABA/NMBI pin
  • Previous experience working with children in a similar capacity
  • Ability to undergo any necessary training or certification
  • Full clean driving license
  • Full immunizations and vaccination history

We also require that all applicants undergo Garda Vetting and register with the INMO or an affiliated union.
