Job Overview

Tirlán embarks on a significant IT transformation programme to stand up its own IT capability.

The initial focus is on enabling projects, requiring collaboration with our partner. We nurture a talented team across Ireland, the US, MEA and China, delivering annual revenues of over €3 billion, and managing our network of 11 processing plants and 52 agri branches.

You will maintain our data centre infrastructure, working together with a managed service provider for our data centres and server infrastructure.

You will oversee the central components of Microsoft IT Infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, available, performing optimally, and addressing any technical issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with managed services provider to set up, configure, and maintain hardware and software components within the datacentre, such as servers, storage, and operating systems.
  • Oversee the central components of Microsoft IT Infrastructure, such as Active Directory and related core IT infrastructure services.
  • Ensure the datacentre and central IT Infrastructure complies with security standards and industry regulations.

You will work collaboratively with other IT teams and stakeholders to support new initiatives and projects.

Participate in datacentre and central IT Infrastructure related incident management as required, liaising with service management, the managed service partner and application teams.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years' experience in Microsoft IT Infrastructure or similar.
  • Familiar with IT infrastructure services such as Microsoft Active Directory.

Proven experience working with managed service providers in managing datacentres and IT Infrastructure, knowledge of security standards and best practices, including ISO 27001 and NIST.

Networking experience is advantageous, and experience in working with Cloud Services desirable.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, proven analytical and problem-solving skills, and a strong team player with a growth mindset are required.
