Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience for all customers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • You will be responsible for handling customer queries in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all customers receive excellent service.
  • You will be required to handle transactions, including cash management, accurately and efficiently.
  • You will be tasked with managing inventory and stock control, ensuring that the store is always fully stocked and merchandised to the highest standard.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining store displays and merchandise, creating visually appealing displays that drive sales.
  • You will be expected to develop a working knowledge of our systems, including the Core system.
  • You will be required to carry out ad-hoc tasks, duties, and projects as required by management.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Prior retail or sales experience in Agri, DIY, Hardware, Paint, or Gardening is advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Effective communication skills are required, both written and verbal.
  • You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Good computer skills are necessary, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
  • Drive and flexibility are desirable, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Knowledge of the agricultural sector is beneficial, but not essential.
