Expert Language Evaluator with Native Fluency

This role is a key member of our global team responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of language models.

  1. Evaluate the performance of the language model to guarantee it correctly understands user requests, provides relevant responses, and presents information clearly.
  2. Review and evaluate ratings from various sources.
  3. Collaborate with the cross-functional team to identify task-specific challenges and observations, transforming them into valuable insights and suggestions for process improvements.

In addition, you will:

  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to drive enhancements specific to your respective language and ensure high-quality responses.
  • Analyze evaluation data to identify patterns, successes, and areas for improvement across various releases.
  • Vet samples to safeguard the reliability of evaluations and assess their quality.
  • Create language-specific evaluation guidelines and instructions to provide tailored support and enhance model performance.
  • Provide feedback and conduct quality assessments on evaluations and rewrites to ensure human-generated data aligns with linguistic nuances and expectations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Linguistics or related field with in-depth knowledge of language structures, phonetics, syntax, semantics, and analysis methods.
  • Native-level fluency in the target language with exceptional command of grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances.
  • Strong analytical abilities to dissect language structures, identify patterns, and draw conclusions about language use.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting research findings and writing reports.
  • Meticulous attention to language details, including pronunciation, grammar, and subtle language variations.
  • Understanding of cultural context, social norms, and non-verbal communication associated with a language.
  • Research skills: Ability to conduct research, collect data, and analyze linguistic phenomena is preferred.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python) for computational linguistics, natural language processing, and data analysis tasks is also preferred.

We are seeking an expert language evaluator who possesses native-level fluency in the target language, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of language structures, phonetics, syntax, semantics, and analysis methods.
