Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adequate availability of warehouse resources to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Coordinate warehouse shift activities in line with set targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve effective cost control.
  • Utilize resources to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
  • Lead the warehouse team to deliver exceptional customer service in accordance with business objectives.
  • Manage and ensure adherence to operational processes within the organization.
  • Implement effective communication practices to engage employees and promote a positive work environment aligned with company values.
  • Maintain a safe working environment that meets legislative requirements, including Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Quality Assurance standards.
  • Promote excellent levels of service and quality to customers.
  • Develop and sustain a high-performing engaged team by providing clear direction, stretch targets, regular reviews, and performance management systems.
  • Ensure appropriate development and succession management systems are operating effectively to retain skilled resources.
  • Communicate clearly and positively to engage colleagues and ensure they understand their role in delivering business objectives.
  • Set team objectives and targets, monitor performance, and provide feedback on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead by example, ensuring effective communication, support, and recognition structures are in place.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Warehouse Manager or Supervisor in a chilled food distribution operation.
  • Strong track record of cost control measures.
  • Proven ability to manage resources effectively to maximize productivity.
  • Proven people management skills and strong leadership abilities.
  • Ability to deal with suppliers effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of foodservice and retail business.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems.
  • IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Location and Type:

Role based in Oldtown, North County Dublin. Own transport essential due to non-public transportation route availability.
