Job Title

As a Solutions Architect, you will lead the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of dbt for our largest enterprise & commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement enterprise-grade data pipelines with dbt Cloud.
  • Communicate technical value to sales teams.
  • Guide customers through proof-of-concept implementations and facilitate trials of dbt Cloud.
  • Work with engineering to deploy dbt Cloud in private clouds for enterprise clients.
  • Own the full customer lifecycle from pre-sale evaluation to product adoption and expansion.
  • Collaborate with product teams to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap.
  • Build close relationships with Partners and enable them to adopt and implement dbt for their clients.
  • Participate actively in the dbt community.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI.
  • Solid technical background with experience in SQL, ETL, and data modeling.
  • Firm understanding of modern data warehousing architectures.
  • Able to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment.
  • Passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community.
Nice to Have
  • Experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software company.
  • Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt.
  • Experience with Data Modeling methods such as dimensional, data vault, Kimball, 3NF.
  • Experience with traditional Enterprise ETL tooling (Informatica, Boomi, Talend).
