
Patient Care Nurse

As a registered nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care to individuals and their families affected by cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Provide skilled practical care to oncology patients, ensuring a patient-centred focus.
- Administer chemotherapeutic drugs in accordance with policy guidelines, prioritizing patient safety.
- Deliver holistic support services for patients and their families, considering their multifaceted needs.
- Supervise nursing practice, promoting education and professional development.
- Full registration as a general division nurse on the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI.
- Recent post-registration nursing experience in an acute hospital setting, with a minimum of one year full-time or equivalent part-time hours.
- Chemotherapy competence is preferred but not essential; training will be provided onsite.
- A recognised post-registration nursing course in oncology is desirable or willingness to undertake same.
