About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced psychologist to work with clients with a range of conditions, including learning disabilities and mental health issues.

The successful candidate will be responsible for career facilitation, supporting clients into the workplace and education, and providing regular supervision and training to colleagues.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Recovery Approach and Person Centred Planning principles.

  • Support clients to identify their learning needs and develop Individual Action Plans (IAPs).
  • Provide evidence-based interventions and support to clients.
  • Design and deliver training to colleagues on education, rehabilitation, disability management, and other relevant areas.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including families, professionals, and external agencies, and engage in crisis management as required.


Requirements:

  • Hold a recognised professional qualification in Psychology to Master or Doctorate level.
  • Hold Chartered membership (or eligible for) with a leading psychological society.
  • At least 3 years' work experience in Learning Disability/Autism/Mental Health/Physical or Sensory Disability.
  • A strong understanding of the Recovery Approach and of Person Centred Planning would be highly advantageous.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

In addition, they will have a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practice in the field.
