We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of health and safety standards and support our business partners to drive safety culture in the responsible region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The role involves supporting the implementation of health and safety standards, policies and practices, including but not limited to; safety management systems, training, risk assessments, and assist with industrial hygiene assessments.
  • Conducting regular health and safety audits to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and life safety requirements.
  • Ensuring the implementation and compliance of global health and safety programs that exceed regulatory requirements.
  • Developing health and safety plans for emergencies, business continuity, and other unique events.
  • Maintaining accurate safety record keeping and data integrity.
  • Providing data trend analysis to support business and safety initiatives.
  • Working closely with the AWS H&S Program team and Legal teams to provide guidance and support.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks through the hierarchy of controls.
  • Delivering daily health and safety guidance to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with a global team to provide safety support to facilities across multiple countries or regions.

About You:

  • You hold a degree in Engineering, Health & Safety or a related field.
  • You have significant experience in Safety.
  • You have experience working across multiple legal jurisdictions/countries in EMEA.
  • You are knowledgeable about specific local health and safety regulations in the applicable region.
  • You possess high ethical standards and can handle confidential and sensitive information effectively.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
