Job Description
Provide evidence-based care to patients undergoing surgery, working as an integral member of the Nursing and Multidisciplinary team in the operating theatre suite/endoscopy suite.
Assist consultant surgeons in all surgical procedures, maintaining standards of nursing care in pre-operative and post-operative planning, implementation and patient care.
Prepare equipment and instruments according to individual patient needs, assist in the smooth running of the Endoscopy Unit, and ensure effective teamwork by good communication with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses kept by NMBI or be entitled to be so registered, with 2 years Theatre Nursing experience and a relevant Theatre qualification advantageous.
