We are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile transport projects, particularly in urban environments.

As a Senior Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance in the production of tender designs for civil engineering aspects of projects. Your daily duties may include creating drawings, schedules of quantities, calculations, compliance documentation, and contract documentation.

Our team is involved in various innovative projects covering all elements of transport planning, including traffic modeling, economic appraisal, active modes, public transport, traffic engineering, policy and strategy formation, and business case development. We are currently assisting with the BusConnects program for Ireland's National Transport Authority, as well as active travel schemes for Dublin City Council.

BusConnects is a strategic national-level intervention that will enhance sustainable transportation and the environment by upgrading walking, cycling, and bus infrastructure in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Waterford. We have been appointed by the National Transport Authority as their Client Partner to deliver Dublin's BusConnects infrastructure, which includes providing programme management and multi-disciplinary expertise over a 10-year programme.

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (or equivalent)
    • Experience in the transport planning field with the ability to contribute to the success of a range of high-profile transport projects
    • Working towards Chartered status or other relevant professional qualification e.g. Engineers Ireland, CIHT, TPP, CEng etc
  • Desirable Skills:
    • Ability to develop technical skills and work independently in the field of Traffic Engineering
    • Experience in Traffic Engineering, particularly in urban environments, active travel schemes, cycle networks, mass transit, and bus infrastructure
